Plan & Book
LONDON - ROTTERDAM
On the Rotterdam-London and London-Rotterdam routes, we provide two types of crossing – a 'mini cruise' or a 'single journey'.
Our mini cruise takes usually five days. We'll be sailing from London to Rotterdam or Rotterdam to London, where we'll be mooring in the city centre. If the outbound crossing went to plan, we'll then spend two nights in Rotterdam before returning to London or vice versa. At sea, you'll be well looked after – crossings are fully catered, with meals and snacks included. While moored, you'll sleep on board, where only breakfasts will be included.
Read our Captain's Log for a detailed account of the crossing.
A single journey is, as its name suggests, simply an overnight crossing from Rotterdam to London (or vice versa) in one and a half days – cabin included. At sea, you'll be well looked after – crossings are fully catered, with meals and snacks included.
To make the most of these crossings, it's fun to help the crew. They'll gladly explain the ins and outs of the ship's workings and even teach you the ropes if you'd like. Under supervision, you can even steer the ship or climb the bowsprit netting if conditions allow. But you don't have to do anything if you don't want to – immersing yourself in a good book or soaking up the beauty of the sea is perfectly fine, too!
We'll be departing from London's St Katharine Dock in the city centre (next to Tower Bridge) and mooring in the Veerhaven in Rotterdam (next to the Erasmus Bridge). Both harbours have good connections with the cities' public transport systems.
Our ship will be the Twister – a former fishing ship now converted into a majestic schooner, measuring 35 m (110 ft) in length. There's space on board for eighteen people, in two- three- and four-person cabins. The Twister is fully certified to carry passengers on all the world's oceans, and its crew is highly experienced.
